Navigating MS Together: Successful MS Awareness Cycle Rally in Thiruvananthapuram
In alignment with this year’s theme, “Navigating MS Together,” the Multiple Sclerosis Society of India (MSSI) and Decathlon Thiruvananthapuram organized a highly impactful MS awareness cycle rally. The event, aimed at raising public awareness about the challenges faced by individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis, saw tremendous support from the community.
Joining forces with MSSI and Decathlon Thiruvananthapuram were two enthusiastic riding clubs: Cyclo Trivians and Indus Cycling Embassy. Their participation significantly bolstered the event’s reach and effectiveness. Dr. Sruthi S. Nair, a neurologist from SCTIMST, had the honor of flagging off the rally, setting the wheels in motion for a cause close to many hearts.
Nearly 100 riders took to the streets, pedaling with purpose and unity, spreading awareness about Multiple Sclerosis and the need for greater support and understanding. The energy and commitment of the participants were palpable, as they navigated the route with dedication and enthusiasm.
To acknowledge the riders’ contributions, certificates of participation were awarded to all who took part. Additionally, refreshments were provided, ensuring everyone stayed energized and hydrated throughout the rally.
This event not only highlighted the importance of community support in navigating MS but also showcased the power of collaboration in raising awareness and fostering a more inclusive society for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis.
